Take five ounces of self raising flour, butter and sugar - mix to make a crumble. (You might like to add some dessicated coconut to the mix)

Take four or five small marmosets or two medium infant Koala bears.

Sprinkle with the crumble mix and devour.

Damper is NOT an aboriginal traditional dish- why? Because it uses WHEAT which is NOT a native plant! "traditional" Aboriginal dishes are VERY simple- they did NOT marinade meats, they did NOT make cakes or soups, they did NOT do sit down meals unless the men had had a good hunt. If the men had had a good hunt it was usually meat that was spitted on a stick and cooked over an open fire, accompanied by wild fruits and vegetables the women had harvested which were usually NOT cooked. There were some tribes in the south of the country that had a more advanced society than a simple hunter gather one like the rest of the countries tribes BUT those tribes were killed off by the white settlers who wanted their traditional lands and the recipes have been lost.
