What pan or dish can I use to waterbath my cheesecake?

I am well aware of the waterbath while cooking in the oven for certain cakes. However, I don't have any metal or aluminum pans that are large enough for my springform. Is it okay if I place the springform in a casserole (glass) baking dish instead? That is my only option. Thanks in advance.

you can pretty much use anything....cheesecake just comes out looking better in a springform pan. i suggest going to the dollar store and getting a cheap roasting pan (like for making turkeys). i know you can find them for less than 5 bux.

I have one of those big cheap aluminum pans that are made for potlucks. But I suppose anything will do in a pinch.

I used to waterbath my cheesecake, lately I've been too lazy. =)

You can use a glass dish, because it's just going to hold the boiling water you add to it.

Yes if you have one large enough.

I use my roasting dish.

What ever suits is good.
