What is measurement for a block of butter to make banana bread?

I've never heard of a block of butter. My *guess* would be one stick of butter (1/2 cup) assuming you're making two loaves of banana bread.

Kmouse is right. No one can help you unless you can give more information about the recipe. Speaking of the recipe, look at it. If it's for only a loaf or two, it will call for 1 or 2 Tbs. This is usually marked on the butter wrapper.

What country are you from? This might help also.
