Ingredients



* 3 eggs

* 1 cup brown sugar

* 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

* 1 cup corn syrup

* 2 tablespoons butter

* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

* 1 1/2 cups pecans

* 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell



Directions



1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place pie shell in a 9 inch pie pan.

2. In a medium bowl, gently beat eggs. Stir in sugar and flour, then the syrup, butter and vanilla. Fold in pecans. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes; knife inserted in center of pie should come out clean.

Spread pecans along the bottom of the pie shell. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over pecans. The pecans will rise to the surface of the pie. 2 Bake at 375°F for 45-50 minutes until the filling has set. About 20 minutes into the cooking you may want to use a pie crust protector, or tent the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil to prevent the pie crust edges from burning. 3 Remove from oven and let cool completely

Ingredients:



# 1 Easy Pie Crust Recipe baked blind

# ¾ cup dark brown sugar

# ¾ cup golden syrup

# 2oz / 60g butter

# 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

# ¼ cup sour cream

# ¼ teaspoon salt

# 3 eggs, beaten

# 2 cups shelled pecan nut halves



Method:



1. Place the pecan nuts on a baking sheet and roast at 350° F / 180° C for about 10 minutes. Check to see that they don't burn.

2. Add the sugar and golden syrup to a pot and heat slowly. Add the butter and vanilla essence. Slowly bring to the boil. Simmer for about 2 minutes.

3. Remove the pot from the heat. Add the 3 beaten eggs, the sour cream and the salt.

4. Roughly chop half of the nuts and scatter them over the pie base. Pour the filling over the top. Now, arrange the remaining pecan halves attractively over the top.

5. Bake at 350° F / 180° C for about 15 minutes for a very thin pie, and up to 40 minutes if your pie is deeper. A skewer should just come out clean when the pie is set.

6. Serve your Best Pecan Pie Recipe simply with thick cream.

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 cup dark corn syrup

1 1/2 cups pecan halves

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

Directions

1.Bake pie shell at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 5 minutes. Cool. Turn oven down to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

2.Beat eggs and salt until very light and lemon colored. Beat in sugar a little at a time. With a wire whisk, fold in melted butter or margarine, and corn syrup. Pour into partially baked shell. Arrange pecan halves on top, broken side down.

3.Bake for 10 minutes, and reduce heat to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Bake for 30 minutes.

PECAN PIE



1 cup Karo light corn syrup

3 eggs

1 cupo sugar

2 Tablespoons butew=ter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-1 1/2 cups peacans

1 unbaked pie shell



Stir the first 5 ingredients throughly using a spoon and then mix in the pecans. Preheat oven on 350 degrees. Pour into pie shell and place on a cookie sheert in the center on oven rack that is oplaced in the center and bake for 60 minutes. Cool for 2 hours.
