bok choy is chinese cabbage and tastes like cabbage (though not as strong as our green or red cabbage). fennel has a sweet licorice flavor that goes well in italian foods ( the taste in sweet italian sausage); and it's leaves and stalks are good when roasted with open flame such as a BBQ grill.

Bok Choy is basically Chinese Cabbage and fennel is a spice used for flavoring

One is in the cabbage family and the other is closely related to parsley it taste like licorice and anise can be eaten raw or cooked , the whole bulb is edible ,delicious in soups and as a side for celery snacking.
