Yep, and if you are worried about smashing them. bake tonight and frost in the morning.

yup, its a pain in the butt to store frosted ones cause the frosting sticks to everything. do you have a cake carrier or a very deep container? if not just put em on a cookie sheet and use some toothpicks in a few of the cupcakes and wrap with plastic, then the toothpicks will hold the plastic up and away. :)

Doesn't matter. Store bought cupcakes are generally arrive frozen and baked to optimal temperature before being frosted and put on display. Your 1 year old isn't going to notice the difference. However, it's a matter of whether or not you have the time to bake them from a mix.

Hi Passionate baker, you can certainly ice your cupcakes later...just store them in air tight containers or I even freeze them till I need them ...Hope this helps :)

Yes,Store in an airtight container in the fridge. actually, I find they are better that way! The icing stays in place better, and they actually taste better! Have fun! Happy Birthday to your friend!

if possible, store unfrosted in an airtight container.... then frost when it's closer to serving time :)
fricatives are awesome!

Thickly cover them in a combination of paint, red meat, and fire. It is the only thing that i found works.
