Carrots take the longest, pumpkin is the fastest.
Carrots are more dense, and have less water in them. Pumpkins have the most water and sugar in it and will take the least amount of time to cook.
Sweet potatoes are in the middle.

From longest to shortest:
Sweet potato
Carrot
Pumpkin
The time, of course, is dependent on the size of the pieces being cooked.

If the three vegetable are cut into even chunks, the sweet potato would cook be done first and the pumpkin last.

I do Tomato Spiderweb Soup with spider biskets for my kids every year and they and their friends love it! just heat up a few cans of tomato soup then when serving or in your pumpkin pour 3 or 4 rings or heavy cream (it doesn't take much) then start int he middle with a butter knife and slice though the cream rings making a web pattern. for the biskets we just use some out of the fridge tube rolls and let the kids or myself mold them into creepy spiders!!!! fun easy and they kids eat it up.... also keeps them very warm during trick or treating!
