1 In medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt chocolate squares and butter or margarine, stirring frequently.
2 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a half sheetpan (18" x 14" x 1").
3 In large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, flour, TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce and melted chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Spoon mixture into pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pan on wire rack.

Fireballs
1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup walnuts, toasted and finely chopped
2 tablespoons dark rum
1 1/2 teaspoons TABASCO brand Pepper Sauce
1/3 cup sugar
Melt chocolate and butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in walnuts, rum and TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce and mix well. Refrigerate mixture about 15 minutes. Shape into 1-inch balls, then roll in sugar to coat. Store in refrigerator.

Keep in mind that Tabasco is one of those hot sauces that use pickling so there is vinegar.
I mith suggest using something like good guajillo pepper (ground) or dried achiote or something.
The dried peppers are usually best o use in deserts--just soak them in hot water for a while and put in the food processor. the add to your recipe.
When I opened my restaurant some years ago the first thing I made to give away at lunch was brownies with guajillo pepper. I also used brown sugar in them. people started ordering them to take home and to give to friends.
