Question:
Is Spin-Blend salad dressing still sold in Ohio and other Midwestern states?

I grew up in NE Ohio and my mother always used Spin-Blend salad dressing instead of mayonnaise. It's a little more tangy than other brands like Miracle Whip or Bama. The problem is, I now live in Alabama and there's no store that stocks it. Even Hometown Favorites told me that the makers of Spin-Blend won't ship it out of their territory.

I want to visit Ohio someday and pick up a supply of Spin-Blend, but I've heard rumors that it may no longer be in production. Can anyone from the Midwest tell me if they've bought a jar recently?

Spin Blend Salad Dressing recipe was sold to Silver Palate company. Hellman's wrote me and said they could not make a profit from it... I suppose because of Kraft... I have found it in a store here in Illinois Schnuke's but you can order it directly from Silver Palate off the internet.

I live near Akron Ohio and have not been able to find it either I used it all the time and hope we can find it somewhere. Marc's only had a couple of jars left and they were "lite" not the regular. I sure hope contact is made with the company that we need more of it in Ohio!! My deviled eggs will not be the same!!!

I grew up in NE Ohio but have lived in Colorado for years. We have Spin Blend here in our local King Soopers (Krogers) grocery stores! Makes me happy, happy, happy!

Prior to the Revolution they WERE the west, along with Alabama and Mississippi. The nation moved west and west moved further. The "Midwest" is a fiction. In a lot of respects everything between West Virginia and Nevada could be counted as Mid-west. I consider Ohio the NORTH (damned Yankees)LOL. Where does the Mid-west finally give way to the west? I have heard Kansas and Nebraska called Mid-west, but many of my friends from there and from Oklahoma, and even Arkansas consider them selves as being from the WEST. I figgure the press always get it wrong. . .I once heard a national anchor refer to Charleston North Carolina, for Pete's sake. If you live somewhere, you are entitled to call yourself anything you want. If you are in the press, just refer to the state and leave the "region" out of the statement.
