I googled this:

I have it on good authority that Denny’s dressing is made from a buttermilk ranch seasoning packet, real mayo, and water. That’s it. If you can’t find a packet, I’d look for a buttermilk ranch in a bottle. IME that’s what most restaurants are using.

I used to work at Denny’s and ours used hidden valley ranch. We’d mix the dry packet with buttermilk and mayo.

Hey, someone asked this on Yahoo answers a year ago....

"It's a wholesaler's product but it is quite similar to HiddenValley Ranch dressing with a little white wine vinegar added. Try it, you'll see!"

Denny’s ranch dressing is made from a buttermilk ranch seasoning packet, real mayo, and water. That’s it. If you can’t find a packet, I’d look for a buttermilk ranch in a bottle. Most restaurants probably use Ken's or Hidden Valley in bulk. Try this: Ingredients: * 7 saltine crackers * 3/4 cup dry minced parsley flakes * 1/4 cup dry minced onion * 1 tablespoon dry dillweed * 2 tablespoons onion salt * 2 tablespoons garlic salt * 2 tablespoons onion powder * 2 tablespoons garlic powder * . * Dressing * 1 tablespoon mix * 1 cup mayonnaise * 1 cup buttermilk Preparation: Dry Mix: In an electric blender, blend crackers on high speed until powdered. Add parsley, minced onions, and dill weed. Blend again until powdered. Dump into bowl. Stir in onion salt, garlic salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Put into container with tight-fitting lid. Store dry mix at room temperature for up to 1 year. Ranch Dressing: Combine 1 tablespoon of the mix with 1 cup each mayonnaise and buttermilk. Makes 2 cups of homemade ranch dressing.

It might be the Hidden Valley buttermilk ranch dip mix in the package follow the recipe on it. I believe that's the best ranch for dipping. There was a pizza place that had the best ranch and that's what they used they made tons of it. It is thicker then regular ol' ranch...Good Luck.
