Im making peanut butter cookies but i only want to make half of what the recipe calls for. it says i need 1/8 teaspoon of salt but I only have a 1/4 measuring spoon. If im a little off, will it matter or will the cookies taste bad? Its only the salt that i dont have the right measuring spoon for.

eyeball it with the 1/4 measuring spoon, use about half. I have been doing that for many years and never had a problem. Good Luck!

It should be half of the 1/4. 1/8 and 1/8 is 1/4.

Take 1/4 tsp and pour on a plate, use knife to cut in half.

Salt in this amount it not going to be critical but halving a cookie recipe may give different texture or taste results. They should still be edible, just a little different.

I would just put at least 4 pinches of salt in and call it good... If you use too much salt then yeah it might ruin the cookies

With salt or other dry goods in this amount, measure out 1/4 teaspoon. Drop it onto a small piece of parchment or other similar piece of paper and use a knife or similar thin, sharp object to divide or "cut" the pile into 2 equal parts. Then only use one of them.
