That would depend on what you put in the cup - a cup full of feathers would weigh a lot less than a cup of lead !

you won't be able to evaluate weight and volume. a million cup of flour does no longer weigh comparable to a million cup of water. Which weighs extra... a ton of feathers or a ton of brick? they're an identical, a ton!

try looking online for a conversion chart cos the weight of one cup of something won't be the same for all ingredients because some are heavier than others.

Cup is a volume measurement equal to 250ml. It is not related to weight.
