Chimichanga's are a mexican food-kind of like a fried burrito. Sloppy joes are ground beef in a seasoned tomato sauce piled high on a bun.

A Chimichanga is a deep fried burrito and a sloppy joe is ground beef, onions, sweetened tomato sauce or ketchup and other seasonings, served on a hamburger bun.

A sloppy joe is seasoned ground beef in a distinctive sauce and served on a hamburger bun. It seems the definition of chimmy changas varys but I found them to be carmalized bananas wrapped in a flour tortilla, fried, topped with powdered sugar, and drizzled with chocolate. Actually now that I think of it thats a dessert chimmy changa. I think a chimmy changy could have any filling wrapped in a tortilla and fried.

Chimmy's are Mexican food. Basically deep fried burritos that are often filled with either chicken, beef , or pork along with cheese. Can have other fillings like rice...beans...stuff like that.
Sloppy Joe is a sandwich that features shredded/ ground beef or pork...and sometime chicken I guess. And the meat is mixed with a "Joe" sauce or BBQ sauce, and from there it's just thrown onto a bun.

Don't know about chimney chongas but sloppy joes was the name Americans used to give to t- shirts many years ago. Definitely way before my time. Maybe it is some kind of food now.ADDITION>Emm, Maybe I am wrong about the sloppy joe but I would appreciate hearing from anyone who had ever heard of this term used to describe a t-shirt.

I know that chimichangas are a Mexican dish comprising beans and meat wrapped in a tortilla then deep-fried.
Wouldn't know about a Sloppy Joe though.

That's correct, a Sloppy Joe is not a burger patty, but just loose cooked ground beef swimming in sauce, seasoned to your taste. It can be spicy or not. Stores used to sell Sloppy Joe seasoning mix, similar to gravy mix or soup mix, in an envelope which you added to a pound of ground beef.
Chimmy chongas are a mexican food and if you haven't had a sloppy joe i pitty you. its hamburger with sauce (sloppy joe sauce like Manwich) on a hamburger roll.
