Which Ramen Soup brand do you think is better? Nissin or Maruchan?

I personally can't stand the Nissin brand. It not as soft as Maruchan's and the soup mix tastes a little off...

Anyone know why Costco changed to Nissin? Or is that just in AZ?

someone aksed this a while ago so i tested them both (i luckily had both lying around)

1. nissin's noodles ARE firmer. this is a matter of preference, i suppose, as both are well within tolerance for a normal person. However, their powder tastes more... powdery.

2. Maruchan filled my kitchen with a delightful scent almost immediately. I love their spicy and creamy chicken flavors. the aroma is wonderful to me, and the flavor is much richer without seeming richer to the stomach.

I dont know what costco did with their brands. maruchan is still readily available everywhere i shop

I like Maruchan because the noodles and flat and thin, and the other ramen is like a thin spaghetii noodle. Maruchan does taste better, too. I get mine at the grocery for 35 cents a piece, the Nissan is 3 for a dollar, but it's worth the extra 2 cents.

I'm going against the popular vote here...Nissin Top Ramen for me. With all the love for Maruchan, maybe I should switch though.

I like Nissin better. I prefer firmer noodles and the flavor packs taste better. Not a deal breaker as Maruchan is ok too neither is great.

Maruchan all the way

I don't follow ramen noodle that closely so I couldn't tell you why they changed their name. Maybe Costco went bankrupt.

Maruchan is still really good. it's the stuff I always ate when I was a kid. If you want anything better, you hafta go to an Asian store to get it.

I like to crunch on the Maruchan brand all day long. I mix in the flavor and don't add water. It's tasty.

Maruchan. Wish I'd invented it. The guy who did (some Asian fellow) died old and rich recently.

I love Maruchan beef flavor the best out of all of them, it's delicious. It even smells better than the other flavors & other brands. However Top Ramen oriental flavor is my second choice. Both brands of their chicken flavors taste bland, the Maruchan chicken smells better -- I can even smell a hint of chicken. All the other flavors taste bland or fake, more like salted & lightly seasoned noodles with a chemical taste. The seafood or shrimp varieties have a strong flavor & smell, but they don't smell & taste like seafood or shrimp. Not a pleasant taste or smell at all.

Do you mean maruchan or nissin? Well, it really depends. Generally, I would say Maruchan. BUT, I do occasionally like to make a super-concentrated, no-broth version of beef or oriental, and in that case Nissin is better. I put a small amount of water in a pan, then the flavoring, simmer it for a few minutes, and THEN the noodles, and cook it until the rest of the broth has evaporated. Something about the noodles makes this much better with Nissin. However, Maruchan has the BEST creamy chicken flavor. So, it really depends on what you want to do with it.

Neither, I dislike Ramen noodles with a passion. I would rather starve to death than eat it.

All of you sound so ******* ignorant it's not even funny.

Besides have you read the ingredients? It doesn't matter which one, both are overly processed.. possibly contain some form of plastic and has sodium coming out the *** which is bad for blood pressure. So why don't you go and make proper ramen and stfu already? both are bad for you.
