a kongee (not sure on the spelling) is always good. If you have the ingredients it's like a riso, tto but more watery, like a porridge consistency. fry as much garlic as you can be bothered peeling in butter, add some miso, whatever veges you can find (finely chopped) e.g. celery, carrot, potato, etc. then chuck in some rice, stir a little and add chicken stock .. or just water if there's none to hand. boil it for a little longer than a normal rissotto and towards the end you can add in things like mushroom, seaweed (hijike or wakame), spinach or rocket and lemon juice.

this is a great dish because the only absolute neccesities are the rice, garlic and lemon - the rest can be whatever you have lying around that might add some nutrients, the above are just suggestions. the garlic and lemon do their thing and the rice is easy to digest as it's overcooked and mushy and will be filling and comforting. a little chilli never hurts in this one either.

The white spots is pus. My first guess is Streptococcus: Ibuprofen will work if it is strep, but be sure you are not allergic to that, because many people are, including me. It wasn't fun to find out. OR, You probably have infectious Mononucleosis is you have had a fever, red spots on the top of your mouth, or any little rash-like dots on any other part of your body, and fatigue prolonged for more than one week. OR, you could have Herpangina (I doubt it, though): -sores in your throat -headache -loss of appetite -sore arms, stomach, legs, or back If you just have a cold virus (Is there mild soreness and swelling of the lymph nodes in your neck?). To take care of that, gargle with warm water. Some people prefer warm, salty water. This works great! Try to limit activity, if you can, get plenty of bed rest. If this does persist for up to two weeks, don't be surprised. Sore throats take FOREVER to get away (at least for me, anyway). If it last longer, you probably do have Mononucleosis, and you really will need to see a doctor for a blood test. Go to your local drug store and pick up some Chloraseptic anaesthetic throat spray. You spray it directly on your throat five times, don't swallow, wait 15 seconds, and then spit it out. It's not the best tasting stuff, but it sure does make your throat feel better. Its about seven dollars. I hope you get better before your vacation!

Do not give him anything oily/fried. Serve him warm food, it will relieve his sore throat. Soups are very good especially the Chicken hot & sweet soup.

Try some home remedies like gargling with warm salt water or betadine water. You could even ask him to munch on a piece of ginger with sugar coating.

When I was sick my girl made me Hot Tea(without Honey add Sugar/Splenda) and then she made me a small bowl of soup. If your going to make a soup I recommend a soup that is easy to swallow and not too heavy. Lemon soup, Tomato soup, and any of the vegetable soups. If He doesn't like it just add a Lil spice and it should be fine. The more the Broth the better he should be.

p.s Add Milk instead of water in to the Tomato soup and stir good and then add a tsp of Sugar to help the flavor and that should soothe the roughness of the throat.

if your making a meal then add bread-sticks or grilled cheese or whatever taste well in your favor.... Also kisses help along with a warm hug.

This is the easiest and best sweet corn and chicken soup ever.

Get a packet of continental chicken noodle soup and cook it as the packet says. Then mix in a medium sized tin of creamed corn. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Whisk an egg and slowly pour it into the soup, make sure you whisk the soup constantly as you pour in the egg. Add some cracked pepper and your done.

Better than the stuff from any chinese restuarant and so yummy.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aOfWV

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

I'm not sure about food, but this drink always works with my entire family...soothes the throat enough to eat something solid.

warm or hot water in a cup. add a spoonful of honey. some lemon juice. My family likes Asian-influenced foods, so we also add this thing called Li Hing Mui (Lee - hing - mooEE)...the red ones that aren't salty. Just a little bit of that though, or it'll over power everything. Its pretty good actually. And just be careful with the Li Hing Mui....if you get the ones with seeds, well be careful. Also, like cheetos, they can stain your fingers temporarily.

Alter the drink to his/your taste and try it. It always works with my family! Good luck

Go to recipezaar.com and look up CUSTARD. It's good for him and very easy on the throat. Contrary to what people say...ice cream is really too cold.......when I had my tonsils out and they promised me all the ice cream in the world I could eat....I had one spoonful and MAN.....WAY TOO COLD! I did better with custard and pudding and jello and lukewarm tomato soup.
