Just look at the consumption figures for the US... lamb (and other sheep meat) is not very popular.

Plus US lamb (in the US) is far more expensive that it should be -- NZ lamb, despite being a lot better tasting AND with the shipping costs and other tariffs, works out to be cheaper by the pound.

So, with the diminishing buying patterns, people don't buy it regularly, and hence the stores that depend on volume (and hence cheapness) just don't carry it. So, rather than Walmart (or any of the main grocery stores), try a real butcher's shop...

Because American don't buy lamb mostly because they don't know how to cook it so it tastes good.

I"m surprised lamb is not popular where you are. We eat a lot of it in the UK. Since you keep asking, yes, you can use beef, but surely you know that what you call Indian curry will never be made with beef. And why would you roast it first? Just buy a piece of beef and curry it.

IDK, mine carry lamb! Costco and any farmer's market do too.

I get lamb at Sam's Club and Costco also sells it. I have seen it in the grocery stores in my town as well as surrounding towns.

I suggest that you talk to the person behind the meat counter and tell them what you want. They will tell you where you can find it or they can order it for you.

In the US, lamb is hard to find in groceries. Sheep are raised for wool. American food regulations severely restrict slaughtering lambs and calves.

It might just be that lamb is not a highly demanded meat in your local area. So it won't be carried in the local stores. You don't need to order it from Amazon though, You should be able to buy them from supermarkets websites. But yes I do think you can buy lamb on Amazon now

As for it being the best. Well I suppose it depends on your taste. I do prefer lamb over other meats but I still like chicken and all the other meats.

Here in Massachusetts it's easy to get lamb chops or lamb meat. I just go to any grocery store. I usually don't grocery shop at Walmart though.
