The tub she is putting in the fridge is Philadelphia ... you can tell from the logo.

I was just coming here to ask the same thing!
After close analysis of the segment (thanks via DVR) it was two pieces of bread, topped with four hotdogs sliced down the middle and stuffed with cream cheese. Sounds weird, but those Italians obviously know how to cook, so it must be good!!! =)

Lincoln Log Sandwich

For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/axK5c
It was hot dogs split open in the middle with cream cheese in them and on a slice of white bread. The name itself appears to be "made up". But they are know as Seattle Cream Cheese Dogs. Supposedly putting cream cheese on a hot dog is done often in Seattle.

Okay so we know it was toast, with hotdog wieners split with cream cheese filling but are the hotdogs cold, warm, or hot?
I think it sounds like a descent snack albeit a little on the fattening side. Oh well that is what they make light cream cheese for! Off I go to the kitchen...

LMAO! I just did the same search for exactly the same reason. The whole scene, from the moment she called them Lincoln Log sandwiches, struck me that this was family snack from AJ's childhood... Like my mom's "bockalo parfait," which is strictly her own and got its name because I couldn't pronounce "popsicle" when I was a kid.
But my real question for all of us who have watched, backed-up our TiVos and rewatched that scene to figure out what a Lincoln Log sandwich really is: Have any of you guys actually TRIED one? Are they any good?
Am I going to be the guinnea pig here?

RE:
What the heck is a Lincoln log sandwich?
It was in the Sopranos. Carmella made some kind of sandwich I had never seen before and she called it a Lincoln log sandwich. It looked like a hot dog or some kind of sausage, split in half with either cream cheese or sour cream on it. I have never heard of this before. I tried looking up...

My husband and I were trying to figure that out too. I come from a long line of Italians, and my Grandmother, Aunts etc. came up with what some, not familiar with Italian customs, might find odd or different, none of which were a Lincoln Log sandwich!!

I am also looking for an answer to this question. I watched the episode of The Sopranos last night three times trying to figure it out. I can say for sure that the white substance you see on the sandwich is, in fact, cream cheese because you can clearly see Carmella returning a package of this to the refrigerator after she makes the sandwiches.
