Chocolate bowls and vanilla pudding....help?

I'm planning on making a chocolate bowl for my homemade pudding.
I need to finish everything in under an hour, but it takes a long time for the pudding to get cold. So if I were to pour my semi-warm pudding into the chocolate bowl, would it melt....?
Also if you know a way that I can get my pudding cold fast, without the pudding getting hard then please tell me thanks :D!

Ok when you make the pudding pour it in a flat 9x13 cake pan or a flat pan of some kind. Then stick it in the freezer. Try to get your bowls in the to cool asap also. That should cool the pudding really fast if it is spread thin. That should cool it enough not to mess your bowls up anyway keep an eye on it, it might actually freeze if you leave it in there to long.. But when you take it out of the freezer whisk it hard to make it creamy, it will always have lumps anytime it cools is restirred.

I always make homemade, I hate instant!

Also another tip which you may already know, but just in case you don't, when you are making the pudding always use a whisk to stir, it will be really creamier.. And if you are using the cornstarch method, As soon as it reaches a full boil remove from the heat. Then add the butter and vanilla,.... DO NOT LET IT BOIL, IT WILL KILL THE CORNSTARCH AND IT WILL NOT SET IT WILL BE RUNNY..

First of all, don't put your pudding into your chocolate bowls unless it is anything but very cold. Even if it's just slightly warm, your bowl will melt.



A quick way to cool your pudding is to line a baking sheet with plastic wrap, pour your hot pudding onto the sheet, spread it out all over the surface of the pan, cover with another sheet of plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming, and place in the fridge to cool. The thinner you spread the pudding, the faster it will cool. Use two sheets if you have to.



I use this technique in the pastry shop all the time. Works like a charm.

Put some ice cubes into a plastic bag and put the bag into your pudding and give it an occasional stir. Chocolate melts at just a little under body temperature so your pudding had to be fairly cold before your put it in the bowl.

Did you make the chocolate bowls a long time ago? If so, they shouldn't melt. If

you just made them then I would suggest leaving them out for a while.
