I moved into a new house recently and we dont have a pan, or a microwave, and i wanna heat up a biscuit, so as a substitute, i thought about using paper towels. Will it catch fire if i do?

Hello Alexis! Why on earth would you want to heat a biscuit up?! If it’s called so, it basically means that it has been baked or cooked in some way or another and you can consume it as it is! I can guarantee you that you will set your whole house on fire if you use paper towels in the oven! Just be wise and do what’s best for you and your surroundings!

paper and fire do not mix. I would not use paper towels in the oven at 350 Degrees. I would cook my food and use paper towel to cover my food to keep warm or not use any paper towels and just leave the food sit in the oven while its still warm.

The Dollar Tree has aluminum foil and pans and metal pans all for-- wait for it-- a dollar each.
After we moved into our new house six months ago, we bought a new toaster oven for around $15.
I've never been desperate enough for warm food that I would risk setting my hi use Simon fire.
(You could have also searched "paper towels in oven" to Dave you the negative comments.)

Well I put paper towels in the oven all the time when keeping food warm. I've never done it over 350 degrees.

Yes, it will. Just put the biscuit directly on the oven rack. It's sanitary because it's metal and gets heated to high temperatures all the time. If the rack looks dirty, wet the paper towel and wipe it off.

It could depends on the temperature you're cooking at. Probably Ok at temps less than 180 F but don't go higher. If it does catch fire it will happen when you open the door.

Possibly if you want to preheated bread or rolls. Put them in a paperbag roll it closed wet the bag on both sides heat in a 300 degree oven for 5 mi. Watch closley so it doesn't burn.

Paper will catch on fire @ 451°. To be safe, I would recommend to avoid anything above 400°!

I've never done it, but I'm guessing it could. Heat the oven to 350 and put it on the rack in the oven.

Let's see.............Fire and Paper, I can't for the life of me think why fire would ignite a piece of paper. but if your willing to try doing it at risk of burning down your house.. Go ahead ............dummy.
I know of a lady who put a yankee candle (in the glass) in top of her gas stove and turned the burner on. The glass cracked the hot wax flew all over the kitchen lighting it on fire. How dumb is that???

YES, but if you put a paper towel on your meal in a microwave. It will heat faster & stop it from splashing. Mike

Are you serious? obv if you put a paper product in the over, its going to burn. just put the biscuit in there and clean up the crumbs when the over has cooled.
